Qualifications
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have the ability to communicate, make decisions, have good judgement and follow all company policies and procedures. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Education and/or Experience: Previous related experience preferred. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Two to three years related experience in a job training and/or mentoring others, preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with Supervisors, Quality Department, Shipping, and Roto to ensure that the Work Centers meet their production & quality goals.
- Enter and repair all Roto parts from the cell that need to be fixed.
- Make sure all components are properly labeled and identified.
- Verify that all Work Instructions (WI’s) are on the lines and are current.
- Control supermarket area to ensure it is stocked properly.
- Housekeeping. Keep area clean and organized.
- Perform Quality Checks (QC) of final boxes for components, trim, dust, etc. throughout the day to ensure the highest of quality.
- Coach and Mentor employees located in the area that need help (trim or assembly issues).
- Scan finished goods boxes.
- Stock components to assembly lines from supermarket.
- Organize the Work Centers using Lean / Agile concepts instill Safety and to help improve productivity and quality.
- Work with various departments on Corrective Action steps to help eliminate manufacturing / quality problems.
- Delegates job assignments within the cell/zone.
- Schedules and assists in covering for breaks and absences.
- Assists with identifying quality concerns and determining appropriate corrective actions. Performs rework as required.
- Checks scrap levels and makes necessary corrective actions to maintain acceptable company requirements.
- Assists in preparing for assembly line product changes and set-ups.
- Performs a line inspection to ensure that extra parts have been removed or run-off.
- Completes all required paperwork.
- Reports problems to Supervisor, Manager, or Human Resource (HR) Manager.
- Work at different stations and helps out where required.
- Verify that all employees know the job they are working on and provide resources if they are not.
