Job Description Summary
The Workshop Manager manages workshop operations for an equipment rental company with a diverse fleet.
The role leads technical personnel, allocates workload, and improves workshop performance and equipment delivery.
Workshop Operations
- Manage shop-floor efficiency, staff utilization, productivity, and repair quality.
- Distribute and follow up on jobs to ensure work is completed correctly and on schedule.
- Train and coach team members to improve skills and performance.
Inspection and Quality
- Perform pre-repair and post-repair inspections.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections for equipment going on hire.
- Inspect off-hired equipment against delivery checklists and report discrepancies.
- Reduce repeat jobs while improving customer satisfaction and retention.
Coordination and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and warranty guidelines.
- Coordinate workflow with operations, stores, and logistics teams.
