Role Overview
The role provides administrative and financial support to the Accounts Manager.
The position monitors, documents, and processes payments and expenditures and supports timely supplier and vendor payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase invoices, check prices, investigate discrepancies, and ensure approvals and purchase-order matching.
- Enter invoices into MS Dynamics GP using appropriate account codes and post payments accurately.
- Organize payment runs, scan invoices, and prepare cheques for mailing.
- Handle invoice and payment enquiries by telephone and email and coordinate with relevant departments.
- Set up and update supplier accounts and details.
- Reconcile daily cash-ups and manage petty cash.
- Perform filing, printing, photocopying, typing, account reconciliations, and accounting error corrections.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, ideally in a similar industry.
- Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software are required.
- An ACCA, CA, or equivalent accounting qualification is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail, planning, organization, multitasking, initiative, and practical problem-solving skills are required.
- A positive, flexible approach and good telephone manner are expected.
