Purpose and Scope
The Working Engineer supports engineering teams delivering services to large and small projects.
The role performs engineering in a 3D environment and produces 3D models and 2D drawings under the supervision of a Project Engineer.
The role applies specialised or advanced engineering principles at conceptual and detailed levels across multidisciplinary projects.
Experience and Qualification
- One to four years of experience in a relevant design discipline.
- Experience in engineering packages.
- Graduate or postgraduate qualification in an engineering discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Engineer with scope, quantities, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
- Produce design calculations, reports, specifications, technical recommendations, 3D models, and 2D drawings.
- Maintain technical deliverables using 2D and 3D engineering software.
- Share technical expertise and archive project documents.
- Provide or participate in project training.
- Perform conceptual layouts and develop design details.
- Prepare or extract drawings and check deliverables before release.
