Role Overview
The Workforce Development Manager will oversee learning strategy and execution for a manufacturing site.
The role aligns local learning plans with business objectives and operational performance while building technical workforce capability.
The role can be located in Morristown, Tennessee, or Cambridge, Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Own the site learning strategy and implementation with local leadership.
- Ensure completion of learning programs and technician certification processes.
- Partner with internal learning networks, technical colleges, and third-party learning providers.
- Influence content development for specific site needs.
- Drive adoption and impact of the plant learning ecosystem.
- Build training and facilitation capability for workplace competencies and technical training.
- Facilitate root cause analysis, continuous improvement, safety, product, and machinery training.
- Identify peer coaches and local technical experts.
- Align technical-college curricula with site needs and labor objectives.
- Manage vendors delivering site technical and product-specific training.
- Oversee skill-gap assessments, training metrics, ROI, and continuous improvement.
- Manage the training budget and promote plant-wide learning and knowledge sharing.
