- Coordinate workload distribution and coverage during employee absences.
- Assist with staffing needs and resource planning.
- Escalate personnel, client, or operational concerns to senior leadership as appropriate.
- Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
Skills, knowledge & expertise
- 5+ years of Workers’ Compensation claims handling experience required.
- Prior supervisory, team lead, or mentoring experience strongly preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of Workers’ Compensation statutes, regulations, claims practices, and case law.
- Strong understanding of compensability investigations, medical management, return-to-work programs, litigation management, and settlement strategies.
- Experience reviewing reserves and managing claim performance metrics.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to client service and operational excellence.
- Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
