- Conduct regular site visits to evaluate safety conditions and provide recommendations for operational improvements
- Carry out risk assessments and safety audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and local safety procedures
- Monitor and analyze safety metrics, create reports, and review incident trends to identify areas requiring attention
- Support implementation of new safety measures and provide guidance on safety related processes
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Amazon supply chain policies and local/regional regulations
- Lead safety discussions and participate in safety briefings
- Support incident investigations and ensure timely incident communication
- Analyze safety performance data to implement proactive improvement actions
- Support safety training completion and verify training effectiveness
Requirements
- Health and Safety NVQ Level 3 or NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent)
- Experience running metrics reports, analyzing data to identify problems and using data analysis to generate and explain metrics
- Experience in English language communication skills, both written and verbal
- Travel up to 20% of the time
- 1+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience
- Experience in stakeholder management and cross functional collaboration (preferred)
- Background in operations, safety or quality management (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or Engineering/Science (preferred)

Job Description

- As our 3rd party operations continue to evolve in a demanding work environment, we are seeking a dedicated Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Officer to support our partners in managing health and safety risks and employee wellbeing.
- The ideal candidate will put safety standards into practice, lead projects to raise safety awareness, and support management's efforts to ensure compliance with all program expectations and applicable regulations.
- With your proactive approach, you will help drive a safety culture by conducting regular audits, managing safety metrics, and providing guidance on safety related processes across our 3rd party operations.
- You will play a crucial advisory role for managers, helping investigate accidents, near misses and incidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
Key job responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

- Strong ability to communicate effectively across various stakeholders through presentations and written communications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or Engineering/Science bachelor degree
