Role overview

Core responsibilities

• Provide wellwork, well integrity, and plug and abandonment engineering support using analysis and engineering insights.
• Provide design and operational support for safe and cost-effective well operations.
• Generate plots and reports and apply company best practices to improve performance.
• Ensure operations comply with internal standards and international regulations.
• Support well integrity assessments and remediation planning.
• Identify and implement technologies and tools to improve wellwork efficiency.

Collaboration and safety

• Collaborate with engineers and operations personnel on global asset teams.
• Integrate with production, facilities, reservoir, and geoscience disciplines.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all activities.

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in petroleum, mechanical, chemical, civil, or electrical engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum GPA of 7 or above.
• Three to ten years of upstream oil and gas industry experience.
• Experience writing rigless or rig-based wellwork procedures is preferred but not required.
• Rig-site or wellsite field experience is preferred.

Technical qualifications

• Knowledge of well intervention, wellwork, plug and abandonment, well integrity, and well control concepts.
• Familiarity with AFE and budget forecasts for wellwork activities.
• Familiarity with Cerberus, WellView, WellCAT, Torque & Drag, and Tableau, Power BI, or Spotfire.
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating design and operating parameters through data and trend analysis.

Work arrangement

• The position is Bangalore-based with potential for international travel.
• Flexibility to work in shifts is requested, with opportunities to use flexible work hours.
