Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation of quality documentation including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and review construction documents for compliance
- Monitor all phases and processes for effective completion of welding works including design, procurement, construction, and handover
- Monitor implementation of Method Statements and ITPs related to welding works
- Manage inspection and testing of welding works and monitor QC Inspectors
- Monitor close out of punch lists for incomplete mechanical works
- Monitor measurement and testing instruments for functionality and calibration
- Witness, review, and approve welder qualifications and WPS, PQR qualifications
- Liaise and coordinate with third party testing/inspection companies
- Perform statistical analysis and evaluation of test data related to welding works
- Prepare, file, and maintain test/inspection records and quality records
- Assist construction personnel in identifying and resolving problems and non conformances
- Advise QC Manager of non conformance occurrences and raise Non conformance Reports
Requirements
- Experience in welding quality control and inspection
- Knowledge of welding qualifications, WPS, PQR
- Ability to prepare and review quality documentation including ITPs
- Experience in managing inspection and testing of welding works
- Familiarity with non conformance reporting and corrective actions

Responsibilities
- Assists in the preparation of quality documentation, including the Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and in the review of construction documents for compliance with project quality requirements related to Welding works.
- Monitors all phases and processes required for the effective completion of all related Welding works and in particular issues of design, procurement, construction and final hand over of the related Welding works.
- Monitors the implementation of Method Statements, and, Inspection & Test Plans related to Welding works, and ensure all necessary records are generated in a timely manner.
- Manages the inspection and testing of Welding works in their area of assigned responsibilities, including monitoring the work of QC Inspectors under their authority.
- Monitors the close out of punch lists established for incomplete related to Mechanical works.
- Monitors all measurement & testing instruments employed for Welding works, that they are functional and calibrated.
- Witnesses, reviews and approves welder qualifications and WPS, PQR qualifications.
- Liaises and coordinates with 3rd Party Testing /Inspection Company as required related to Mechanical works.
- Statistical analysis and evaluation of test data related to Welding works.
- Prepares, files, maintains test/inspection records and any other quality records generated related to Welding works.
- Assisting construction personnel to identify and resolve problems and potential or actual non conformances related to Welding works.
- Advises the QC Manager of non conformance occurrences and where necessary, raises a Non conformance Report for non compliant work, and monitors the closeout and effectiveness of the correction and corrective action undertaken.
