- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine project requirements
- Set up welding equipment and select the appropriate welding method based on project specifications
- Safely operate welding tools and machinery, including arc welders, gas torches, and plasma cutters
- Perform various welding techniques such as SMAW, GMAW, and TIG welding
- Weld and fabricate metal components and structures according to project requirements and industry standards
- Ensure accuracy and quality of welds by conducting visual inspections and using appropriate measuring tools
- Repair and modify welded structures as needed, following established procedures and guidelines
- Maintain welding equipment by performing regular inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with other team members such as engineers, Quality Controllers, and fabricators to complete projects efficiently
- Stay updated with the latest welding techniques, equipment, and industry trends
Requirements
- Experience in MIG welding and other welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols
- Knowledge of welding equipment setup and operation
- Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards
