Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain company websites, web servers, and related systems
- Monitor website uptime, performance, and functionality
- Perform regular website updates, patches, and maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve website errors, outages, and technical issues
- Coordinate website deployments and releases
- Manage domain registrations, renewals, and transfers
- Configure and maintain DNS records
- Implement and manage domain migrations and website moves
- Execute and monitor 301 redirects and URL restructuring projects
- Monitor website speed and Core Web Vitals performance
- Configure caching solutions such as Cloudflare, CDN services, Redis, and server side caching
- Optimize website loading speed, server resources, and database performance
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in website administration, web operations, system administration, or a similar role
- Experience managing production websites with high availability requirements
- Proven experience with DNS management, SSL implementation, and website troubleshooting
- Experience supporting SEO related technical initiatives is highly desirable
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure and web security solutions is a plus
- Strong knowledge of website administration and hosting environments
- Experience with Linux server administration (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, etc.)
- Proficiency in web servers such as Nginx, Apache, or LiteSpeed
- Experience managing DNS, SSL certificates, and CDN services
- Knowledge of Cloudflare or similar web performance and security platforms
- Understanding of website caching technologies and performance optimization
- Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB

Role Overview
- The Web Administrator is responsible for the day to day management, maintenance, security, performance, and availability of company websites and web applications.
- This role ensures websites operate efficiently, remain secure, achieve optimal search engine visibility, and provide an excellent user experience.
- The Web Administrator will work closely with development, SEO, content, marketing, and infrastructure teams to support business objectives and online growth.
Website Administration & Maintenance
- Manage and maintain company websites, web servers, and related systems.
- Monitor website uptime, performance, and functionality.
- Perform regular website updates, patches, and maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website errors, outages, and technical issues.
- Coordinate website deployments and releases.
Domain & DNS Management
- Manage domain registrations, renewals, and transfers.
- Configure and maintain DNS records, including A, CNAME, MX, TXT, and NS records.
- Implement and manage domain migrations and website moves.
- Execute and monitor 301 redirects and URL restructuring projects.
Performance & Optimization
- Monitor website speed and Core Web Vitals performance.
- Configure caching solutions such as Cloudflare, CDN services, Redis, and server side caching.
- Optimize website loading speed, server resources, and database performance.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks affecting website performance.
Security & Compliance
- Manage SSL certificates and HTTPS configurations.
- Implement website security best practices and monitoring.
- Perform security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, malware, or unauthorized access attempts.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and industry standards.
SEO & Technical Website Management
- Support technical SEO initiatives and website architecture improvements.
- Monitor Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and analytics platforms.
- Manage redirects, canonicalization, robots.txt, XML sitemaps, and indexing issues.
- Assist with website migrations while preserving SEO performance.
- Collaborate with SEO teams on technical recommendations.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor website health, server resources, and traffic trends.
- Configure monitoring tools and alert systems.
- Generate regular reports on uptime, performance, security, and website metrics.
- Maintain documentation of website infrastructure and procedures.
Infrastructure & Hosting Management
- Coordinate with hosting providers, cloud platforms, and CDN vendors.
- Manage Linux web servers, load balancers, and web hosting environments.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Maintain staging, testing, and production environments.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of website administration and hosting environments.
- Experience with Linux server administration (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, etc.).
- Proficiency in web servers such as Nginx, Apache, or LiteSpeed.
- Experience managing DNS, SSL certificates, and CDN services.
- Knowledge of Cloudflare or similar web performance and security platforms.
