Overview
As the Water Operator Technician, you will operate, maintain, and support the water treatment and distribution systems at Al Udeid Air Base.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with water system operations, a strong understanding of water quality standards, and the ability to ensure safe and reliable water service for base personnel.
Essential Job Functions
- Operate and monitor water treatment and distribution systems to ensure safe, clean, and reliable water supply.
- Perform routine inspections, sampling, and testing of water systems to meet regulatory standards.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on water treatment equipment and distribution infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement appropriate solutions under supervision.
- Maintain accurate operational logs, reports, and records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in emergency response efforts related to water system issues.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must hold Class III Water System Operations Certification.
- Minimum of 4 years of water system operations experience.
- Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, water quality standards, and distribution system operations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, mission-critical environment.
- TRAVEL: 100%, in deployed location.
- SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
