Responsibilities
- Allocate daily tasks, monitor workloads and ensure adequate cover for peak periods, absences and changeovers
- Conduct team briefings, performance reviews and support training to ensure competency and compliance with procedures
- Oversee inbound and outbound processes including goods receipt, putaway, picking, packing and dispatch to meet SLA and accuracy targets
- Coordinate scheduling of deliveries and collections, liaising with carriers and stakeholders to ensure punctual handling
- Maintain clear workspace standards and ensure equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet trucks) is used safely and correctly
- Monitor stock levels and perform regular cycle counts and stock reconciliations to maintain inventory accuracy
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of movements in the warehouse management system and escalate discrepancies
- Manage returns, damaged goods and quarantine processes in line with company procedures
- Promote a culture of safety by ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations, safe manual handling and PPE requirements
- Carry out routine safety checks, report hazards and support incident investigations and corrective actions
- Identify process improvements to increase productivity, reduce waste and improve service levels; support implementation of changes
- Prepare and maintain operational records, KPIs and routine reports on performance, stock accuracy and resource utilisation
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a warehouse, distribution centre or logistics environment
- Practical knowledge of warehouse processes including picking, packing, goods receipt and stock control
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic IT skills (e.g. MS Excel)
- Relevant health and safety or manual handling qualifications desirable
- Forklift licence preferred
- Strong organisational, communication and people management skills

Job Purpose
- The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure safe, efficient and accurate receipt, storage and dispatch of goods.
- Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role leads a small team, implements operational procedures, maintains stock accuracy and supports continuous improvement activities to meet service, quality and productivity targets.
Team Leadership & People Management

- Support projects such as layout changes, system upgrades and seasonal planning activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a warehouse, distribution centre or logistics environment.
- Practical knowledge of warehouse processes including picking, packing, goods receipt and stock control.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic IT skills (e.g. MS Excel).
- Relevant health and safety or manual handling qualifications desirable; forklift licence preferred.
- Strong organisational, communication and people management skills with a practical, solutions focused approach.
