Role Description
Oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, storage, order fulfilment, and the efficient movement of goods.
Ensure warehouse activities are organised, accurate, safe, and aligned with operational requirements.
Maintain high standards of service, productivity, and inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
- Manage warehouse workflows, capacity, space utilisation, priorities, and resource allocation.
- Monitor inventory accuracy, stock movements, counts, reconciliations, and discrepancies.
- Monitor fulfilment, delivery schedules, productivity, and operational performance.
- Coordinate product flow with procurement, supply chain, logistics, retail, sales, and other departments.
- Manage warehouse records, reports, documentation, and operational data.
- Identify risks, delays, discrepancies, and process issues and implement corrective actions.
- Establish and monitor warehouse KPIs covering productivity, accuracy, service, inventory, and efficiency.
- Maintain warehouse equipment, facilities, systems, and processes.
- Promote safety, security, housekeeping, and policy compliance.
- Lead process improvements to optimise efficiency, accuracy, capacity, and cost.
- Support staff scheduling, training, performance management, and warehouse personnel development.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Operations, Business, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, distribution, fulfilment, and logistics processes.
- Knowledge of WMS, ERP, inventory systems, and operational reporting tools.
- Strong leadership, coordination, communication, decision-making, organisational, and time-management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills focused on operational efficiency and inventory accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for reporting and operational analysis.
- Understanding of warehouse safety, risk management, stock control, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to analyse KPIs, implement performance improvements, coordinate stakeholders, and manage operational issues effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate inventory and documentation.
