Role overview
Lead the design, deployment, and scaling of automation solutions across Amazon's fulfilment and logistics network in India.
Drive automation programs that improve operational efficiency, safety, and customer experience across fulfilment centers, sort centers, and delivery stations.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead automation delivery from feasibility assessment and business case development through commissioning and operational handover.
- Own automation roadmaps and penetration targets for assigned sites and business lines.
- Evaluate technical feasibility and vendor solution availability for automation opportunities.
- Coordinate automation integration with operations technology, safety, maintenance, engineering, and site operations teams.
- Develop ROI models, payback analyses, and capital investment plans.
- Manage and develop engineers and program managers.
- Report program status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership.
- Drive improvements in reliability, throughput, safety, and cost efficiency.
- Support low-cost automation and frugal innovation initiatives.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Engineering experience including a supervisory role managing people.
- Experience in a fast-paced, automated, industrial, logistics, production, or manufacturing environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
- Experience with preventative maintenance systems.
- Knowledge of automation control system logic, mechanisms, and protocols.
- Knowledge of software interfaces and business logic between control and management systems.

The team deploys automation and next-generation technology across fulfilment centers, sort centers, and last-mile delivery stations.
