Warehouse Attendant

High School diploma or GED is required.

Experience / specific knowledge:

Successful work experience demonstrating good workplace attendance, compliance with policy, willingness to work overtime and safe and quality conscious work.

Previous experience in an industry related to the transportation of cargo is preferred.

Certifications, licenses, registrations:

Must meet the criteria to maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) as required by TSA regulations.

Ability to obtain and maintain MTSA Security clearance is required.

Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen upon job offer.

Competencies, skills, and abilities:

Good oral and written communication skills.

Must take direction from supervision and work cooperatively with others.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent may be required to stand, walk, sit, ascend/descend stairs; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, frequently lift up to 60 pounds, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to operate or learn to operate lifting equipment used in performing job.

Working conditions :

The position is assigned a variable schedule (days, nights, weekends and holidays) and will be required to work overtime hours.

Tasks are performed indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
