Summary
Performs shipping and receiving activities for a branch location under direct supervision.
Ensures customers receive correct items on time and stocked merchandise is properly maintained.
Job Duties
- Selects, checks, pulls, and ships items from sales orders.
- Prepares and secures customer deliveries and processes returns.
- Organizes materials on racks, shelves, and bins using the established product code.
- Reports damaged or substandard inventory to the warehouse supervisor.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- May deliver items, process counter sales or invoices, and operate a forklift.
- Records received items in the computer system to show customer availability.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.
- Requires basic math, reading comprehension, and computer skills.
- Must be able to move up to 100 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Requires a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Forklift certification may be required.
