Walk-in Nursing Learning Assistant (Part Time)

Position Duties

• Customer Service Assist with the front desk in the Learning Commons Perform various office clerical duties including filing, typing, scanning, maintaining copiers and other equipment, ordering supplies, sorting/distributing mail, etc. Provide subject matter support to learners as well as general study skills Serve as a mentor and role model for learners Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment Refer learners to appropriate resources and support services as needed Maintain accurate records of student attendance and participation. Lead small group study sessions and tutoring sessions. Assist learners struggling with course concepts. Answer student questions and clarify course content. Assist with program activities and events. Schedule room resources as needed. Perform other related work duties as assigned. PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

• The position involves sitting often in an office setting (frequently 34-66%). Constant (67-100%) talking and listening to people in person, viewing a computer screen, and other types of close visual work. Occasional (10-33%) stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Frequent (34-66%) walking, grasping and repetitive motion.

Other Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in nursing or nursing education.
