Adjunct instructors play a vital role in the program's overall instruction. Adjunct instructors bring with them a variety of backgrounds and professional experiences which serve to foster growth in the program and enrich student learning. Adjunct instructors are responsible for structuring and supervising the learning experiences of students in the classroom, labs and in clinical agencies. Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with an Iowa license and have worked for two full-time years as an RN. Adjunct instructors will provide instruction and supervision in the CNA course.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: Adjunct instructors play a vital role in the program's overall instruction. Adjunct instructors bring with them a variety of backgrounds and professional experiences which serve to foster growth in the program and enrich student learning. Adjunct instructors are responsible for structuring and supervising the learning experiences of students in the classroom, labs and in clinical agencies. Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with an Iowa license and have worked for two full-time years as an RN. Adjunct instructors will provide instruction and supervision in the CNA course. Nurse Aide Course runs from 8/25/2026-12/11/2026 on Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays from 7:45-9:15 AM. Days of the week could be flexible but would need to be 3 consistent days. Clinicals within a long-term care facility would take place between 11/8/2026 and would need to be completed by 12/7/2026. Provides immediate feedback to students regarding performance.
Maintains confidentiality with patients, students, agency, and college.

Establishes rapport with agency personnel and colleagues.
Maintains communication with course instructors, clinical facilities, and the Instructor/Coordinator.
