Welcome guests, take and deliver orders, maintain an inviting atmosphere, and support the hotel's commitment to exceptional hospitality.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Know menu items, recommend and upsell food and beverage options, and introduce menus and specials.
- Greet guests, prepare tables or service equipment, take accurate orders, and enter them into the ordering system.
- Serve food and beverages according to hotel standards and maintain the correct sequence of service.
- Address dietary and allergy needs, handle payments accurately, and resolve or escalate guest concerns.
- Build guest relationships and adapt to different areas within the Food and Beverage Division.
- Follow health, hygiene, safety, and HACCP requirements and perform opening and closing procedures.
- Assist with inventory, maintain par stock, minimize waste, and care for supplies and equipment.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, polish glassware and utensils, and report food and beverage cost discrepancies.
- Arrive punctually in proper uniform, maintain personal hygiene and appearance, and participate in service briefings and meetings.
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience in a similar hospitality role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and procedures.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
- Basic understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including HACCP standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
