Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the entire workplace is orderly and clean: tables, chairs, counters, roof, side walls, floor, ambiance, furniture, fixtures, sculptures, display props.
  • Take orders by suggesting to guest and confirming receiving orders; always upsell to maximize revenue.
  • Serve guests professionally and courteously from arrival through meal service until departure.
  • Prepare accurate itemized guest checks, present professionally, collect payment, and return receipt promptly.
  • Monitor outlet’s operation cost while ensuring equipment, supplies, and stocks are adequate.
  • Help improve service quality by encouraging guest comments via Tripadvisor, Revinate, etc.
  • Monitor each guest experience and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure presence on the floor during peak hours.
  • Uphold a warm and friendly working environment.
  • Ensure mise en place is ready for service: cutlery, crockery, glassware, condiments, linen, etc.
  • Keep all equipment clean and in good working condition; report problems immediately.
  • Promote and upsell the lounge to all guests who inquire.

General Responsibilities

  • Adhere to hotel guiding principles, policies, and standards of operation.
  • Be aware of Health, Safety, and Security policies; participate in sustainability efforts.
  • Understand government and hotel Food Safety regulations.
  • Adhere to Lost and Found procedures.
  • Accept working hours as per business demand; overtime and days in lieu at management discretion.
  • Represent the Department and Hotel through grooming and attitude.
  • Extend assistance to other departments as needed.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
  • Provide guests with information about hotel facilities and local areas.
  • Provide personalized service to anticipate guest needs.
  • Answer calls, take reservations/Lounge check ins, especially during peak hours.
  • Be prepared to receive incoming guests per set standards.

Requirements

  • A degree in a relevant field or a combination of secondary education and experience.
  • Three years of extensive experience in restaurant operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision and direction.
