Responsibilities
- Complete installation, testing, commissioning, and startup of VRF systems
- Copper piping installation, brazing, pressure testing with nitrogen, vacuuming, refrigerant charging, and leak detection
- Installation of indoor and outdoor units, branch selector boxes, controllers, and communication wiring
- Testing and commissioning according to manufacturer standards
- Troubleshooting communication faults, refrigerant circuit faults, PCB failures, inverter faults, sensor faults, compressor faults, and electrical issues
- Reading and interpreting HVAC drawings, refrigerant piping layouts, and control diagrams
- Installation, testing, commissioning, startup, servicing, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of Air Cooled and Water Cooled Chillers
- Operation and programming of chiller control panels, HMI interfaces, PLC based control systems, and BMS integration
- Compressor replacement, alignment, oil charging, and commissioning after replacement
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM), and emergency breakdown repairs
Requirements
- Minimum 5–10 years of proven experience in VRF and Chiller systems
- Extensive experience with major HVAC brands: Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Carrier, Midea, O General, York, Trane
- Strong experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of both VRF and Chiller systems
- Ability to independently diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control system failures
- Strong understanding of HVAC electrical wiring, control circuits, refrigerant cycles, chilled water systems, and BMS interfaces
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and manufacturer manuals
- UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred
- Valid UAE Driving License is an advantage

Job Overview
- WAHA AIR is looking for a highly experienced Senior VRF & Chiller Installation and Service Technician to join our growing HVAC team in Dubai.
- We are seeking professionals with extensive field experience in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of both VRF and Chiller systems.
- The ideal candidate must be capable of independently managing projects from installation through commissioning, diagnostics, repair, and final handover.
Key Responsibilities – VRF Systems
- Complete installation, testing, commissioning, and startup of VRF systems.
- Copper piping installation, brazing, pressure testing with nitrogen, vacuuming, refrigerant charging, and leak detection.
- Installation of indoor and outdoor units, branch selector boxes, controllers, and communication wiring.
- Testing and commissioning according to manufacturer standards.
- Troubleshooting communication faults, refrigerant circuit faults, PCB failures, inverter faults, sensor faults, compressor faults, and electrical issues.
- Reading and interpreting HVAC drawings, refrigerant piping layouts, and control diagrams.
- Diagnosing and resolving system performance issues.
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
Key Responsibilities – Chiller Systems
- Installation, testing, commissioning, startup, servicing, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of Air Cooled and Water Cooled Chillers.
- Strong knowledge of screw, scroll, centrifugal, and reciprocating chiller systems.
- Complete understanding of chilled water systems, condenser water systems, pumps, expansion tanks, AHUs, FCUs, cooling towers, valves, strainers, and related equipment.
- Operation and programming of chiller control panels, HMI interfaces, PLC based control systems, and BMS integration.
- Reading and interpreting controller alarms, fault histories, operating parameters, trend logs, and diagnostic information.
- Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control related faults.
- Compressor replacement, compressor alignment, oil charging, and commissioning after replacement.
- Compressor oil replacement and oil analysis.
- Replacement of condenser fans, evaporator fans, EC fans, motors, bearings, pulleys, belts, and vibration isolators.
- Replacement of expansion valves, solenoid valves, pressure switches, sensors, transducers, contactors, relays, VFDs, and electrical components.
- Heat exchanger inspection and cleaning (evaporator and condenser).
- Tube cleaning and condenser coil cleaning.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5–10 years of proven experience in VRF and Chiller systems.
- Extensive experience with the following HVAC brands: Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Carrier, Midea, O General, York, Trane.
- Strong experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of both VRF and Chiller systems.
- Ability to independently diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control system failures.
