- Monitor live transmissions, spot critical content and edit video into coherent and engaging packages
- Write captivating headlines and scripts to accompany footage
- Translate soundbites (SOTs), live broadcasts, and other source material with expert accuracy
- Conduct rigorous research to gather accurate information from reliable sources
- Work closely with Output Editors to provide comprehensive and joined up coverage
Requirements
- Possession of a journalism or politics degree, or a relevant qualification
- Proficient English speakers required
- Proficiency in the Arabic language, along with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Availability for shifts including nights and weekends

Your Mission
- Viory is currently seeking a highly motivated and proactive Video Journalist for our MENA desk.
- This role requires a combination of journalistic rigor and technical video editing skills.
- The ideal candidate will instantly recognize must have video content and be able to turn that footage into a professional package for our clients and at speed!
Your Main Tasks
- Transforming raw footage into polished, engaging video content
- Monitoring live transmissions, spotting critical content and editing video into coherent and engaging packages
- Writing captivating headlines and scripts to go alongside the footage, explaining exactly why it is 'must have' and including all the essential background
- Translating soundbites (SOTs), live broadcasts, and other source material with expert accuracy
- Conducting rigorous research to gather accurate information from reliable sources
- Working closely with our Output Editors to provide comprehensive and joined up coverage
Your Skills
- Possession of a journalism or politics degree, or a relevant qualification, is essential.
- Proficient English speakers required
- Proficiency in the Arabic language, along with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Positive mindset and exceptional communication skills.
- Ownership mentality and proactive approach.
- Availability for shifts including nights and weekends is required.
