Video Editor VA (Long-Form Content)

Position Overview

Accountabilities

• Edit full episodes, interviews, podcasts, training videos, and similar long-form formats.
• Review, splice, trim, and clean raw footage into polished final videos.
• Maintain suitable pacing, transitions, visual consistency, and production quality.
• Add basic text overlays, graphics, and light visual effects.
• Perform basic audio cleanup and color correction.
• Organize video files, project assets, and deliverables.
• Review edits and incorporate client feedback and requested revisions.
• Manage projects and deliverables according to agreed timelines and scope.
• Communicate about requirements, revisions, questions, and delivery expectations.
• Provide video editing services under an independent contractor engagement.

Requirements

• Previous experience editing long-form content such as podcasts, interviews, training videos, or full-length episodes.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or a comparable editing platform.
• Strong understanding of pacing, transitions, storytelling flow, and production quality.
• Ability to splice, trim, clean, and organize raw video footage.
• Experience creating basic text overlays, graphics, and light visual effects.
• Basic knowledge of audio cleanup and color correction.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to manage revisions and incorporate feedback accurately.
• Good English comprehension, communication, speaking, and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and reliably within project requirements and deadlines.
• Junior through senior-level experience is considered.
• Comfortable working as an independent contractor rather than an employee.

Schedule

• Availability is approximately 10–20 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
• The role requires flexible availability between 9 AM and 1 PM Central Standard Time, subject to client requirements and agreement.
