Video Editor

This is a remote position.

• 3+ years of experience editing video content for a variety of platforms -- web, organic social, YouTube, etc.
• Strong understanding of best practices for video content across the full range of media and platforms, and a portfolio of personal work to support it
• Basic understanding of performance marketing and how various creative approaches and execution play a role
• Ability to iterate quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, with special emphasis in Premiere and After Effects (some graphic design experience is a plus)
• Able to troubleshoot and solve problems independently

• Create best-in-class video content to support digital marketing and content objectives
• Participate in all stages of video production, from conception through execution and post-production; lending expertise around what types of videos are best suited for different contexts and audiences
• Capture interviews of mentors, students and recruiters, and short form video content, as well as basic photo needs, both in online and offline environment
• Quickly assemble edits and implement notes from key cross-functional teammates
• Process, organize, and maintain video file organization
• Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Content teams on key launches and campaigns
• Support Pragmatic Leaders editorial and social calendar by ensuring consistency across video executions, and a steady stream of compelling video content
• Obsess over optimizing content for best performance on social platforms -Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, Twitter Fleet, Instagram, Instagram Story, IGTV & Reels
• Create and sustain a culture of creative excellence for the team and company
• Stay up to date on editing software, programs and technologies and take the lead on system upgrades, implementation and management as needed
