Role Description
- The Owner role at Quectel in Nairobi County, Kenya is a full time, on site leadership position responsible for overseeing local operations, business development, and strategic execution.
- Day to day responsibilities include defining market strategies, managing key customer relationships, and ensuring alignment with Quectel’s global vision for IoT innovation.
- The Owner will oversee financial performance, monitor operational efficiency, and guide local teams to meet growth targets and quality standards.
- This role involves close collaboration with global leadership, coordination with technical and sales support, and participation in high level decision making for regional initiatives.
- The Owner is expected to represent Quectel in the local market, build partnerships, and maintain a strong, ethical business presence.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and decision making skills, with experience overseeing business operations and growth.
- Background in technology or telecommunications, ideally with exposure to IoT, cellular, GNSS, or wireless communication solutions.
- Financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing business performance metrics.
- Business development and relationship management skills, with the ability to build partnerships and maintain key client accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills in a multicultural, global environment.
- Proven ability to manage on site teams, foster a collaborative culture, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology Management, or a related field; advanced degree is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a senior executive, founder, or owner level role, preferably within a technology focused organization.
- Ability to work on site in Nairobi County, Kenya and collaborate effectively with international teams across time zones.
