Roles and responsibilities
- Assist the VAT In-Charge with end-to-end group VAT compliance.
- Maintain VAT return workings and backup data for compliance activities.
- Review daily VAT transactions and support VAT preparation reviews.
- Review tax recovery processes and address compliance issues.
- Assist Finance with VAT interpretation and conduct VAT audits.
- Prepare documents required under VAT regulations and handle related activities.
- Manage UAE VAT refund applications through the FTA portal, including reconciliations, documentation, and FTA clarifications.
- Use Power BI dashboards and reports for VAT reconciliations, analysis, trend monitoring, and management reporting.
- Execute other assigned projects.
Desired candidate profile
- At least 2 years of hands-on UAE VAT experience is mandatory.
- A bachelor's degree in Tax, Accountancy, or a related field is mandatory.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance is mandatory.
- Knowledge of GCC VAT and corporate tax experience are desired.
- A VAT Compliance Diploma is desired.
- Proficiency with tax-related software and tools is desired.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, collaboration, independence, accuracy, and adaptability skills are desired.
Pay
- Pay is AED 6,000 to AED 7,000 per month.
Work location
- The work location is in person in Jebel Ali, JAFZA.
