Utility Trainee

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Primary Objective : CertainTeed Corporation, a roofing manufacturing plant located in Oxford, NC is recruiting for manufacturing operators.

This is an entry-level position that requires working rotating shifts and will perform all aspects of entry-level duties for each line of production operations assigned as outlined in the respective training and JSA manuals and performance check sheets.

• Shift: 12 hr rotating schedule
• Pay Rate: $26.27/hr.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

• High School Diploma or GED is required .
• Must complete a Work Keys Assessment, scoring at least silver level.
• Two (2) years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Must satisfactorily complete associated training programs and requirements for safe operations and maintenance of a forklift.
• Must be able to work an average of 40 hours per week and be able to work rotating shifts.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Have vision acuity in close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Must be able to accept corrective feedback, and have the ability to calmly and effectively deal with high-stress situations.
• Have sensitivity to others’ needs with a positive demeanor and model change management for the business.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a continual basis.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk or stand; use hands to handle and/or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is frequently required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk and hear.
• Adherence to all company safety policies and precautions while performing assigned tasks at all times when on the premises.
