Assignment Overview
IOTA GROUP is seeking a UPS Commissioning Specialist for a technical assignment in the United Arab Emirates.
The role supports installation, integration, start-up, testing and commissioning of UPS systems and associated battery cabinets on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify delivered UPS equipment, I/O cabinets, battery modules and accessories against the approved Bill of Materials.
- Report missing, damaged or non-compliant items before work starts.
- Integrate I/O cabinets with UPS systems, including busbar connections, control wiring and communication interfaces.
- Perform UPS and battery cabinet anchoring, installation and cable termination.
- Inspect battery modules through visual checks, serial number verification, voltage measurement and impedance testing.
- Record test results for project documentation and perform battery balancing when required.
- Connect control and communication cables according to approved wiring diagrams.
- Perform UPS start-up, energization and firmware updates where applicable.
- Verify operation in Normal, Static Bypass, Maintenance Bypass and Battery modes.
- Perform functional tests and verify output voltage, waveform, battery voltages, alarms and operating parameters.
- Prepare start-up, post-charging and testing reports.
- Support Level 4 and Level 5 testing, including monitoring, troubleshooting, fault analysis and technical recommendations.
