Reporting to the Shift Manager, the Unit Coordinator supports the unit by coordinating communications, performing order entry functions, maintaining files, and providing clerical support.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High school graduate preferred
Minimum Experience/Skills:
Minimum one year of experience as unit secretary in similar department preferred, knowledge of medical terminology, basic computer knowledge, such as word processing, spreadsheet.
License/Certificates/Credentials:
None
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged, extensive or considerable sitting.
- Lift/position up to 25 lbs.
- Push/pull up to 25 lbs of force.
- Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, manual dexterity and mobility, touch, auditory and visual perception and acuity, adequate vocal pitch and volume, ability to move quickly.
- Extensive time on the computer/keyboard.
