Upon hire, the selected candidate may choose one of the following offices as their permanent headquarters: Sacramento, Bakersfield, Long Beach, or Ventura. Once the location is chosen, the incumbent will be required to work from that specific office exclusively for all in-person reporting. Telework may be available for this position in accordance with the Department of Conservation's Telework Policy and procedures.

Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview but must show proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment.
