Under the general direction and supervision of the Supervising Engineering Geologist of the Earthquake Engineering Program in the California Geological Survey (CGS), the Senior Engineering Geologist Supervisor, System Operations Unit, is responsible for managing the data acquisition from seismic stations in the field and archiving raw data, incorporating the correct metadata, as well as coordinating with partner network for sharing metadata and contributing to the Earthquake Early Warning systems and other projects.

This position is located in Sacramento, CA and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule, with employees required to work in-person at 801 K St Sacramento, CA. At least two days of remote work and up to four days of in-office work per week is the available hybrid telework schedule for this position. Alternative work locations will not be considered.
