Role overview

Design and analysis duties

• Prepare underground design packages covering manholes, equipment installation, conduits, duct banks, feeder replacement, cable replacement, and new feeders.
• Develop low- to high-voltage line routing analyses using CADD design and mapping software.
• Determine construction feasibility through route studies, conflict analysis, and construction cost estimating.
• Perform measurements and calculations for underground electric facilities on public and private utility systems.
• Use simulation software to evaluate scenarios and make recommendations to clients.

Project and quality duties

• Produce reports and visualizations that communicate technical results and trend interpretations.
• Coordinate with project teams to meet client expectations and internal QA/QC guidelines.
• Review studies, reports, and construction design packages for quality.

Calculations and team support

• Prepare cable-pulling, voltage-drop, and ampacity calculations and assist with equipment specifications.
