Overview

  • Serves as the Aviation Maintenance Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) Technical Inspector under the direction of the QC Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality technical inspection of aircraft, equipment, vehicles, aircraft components, parts, and systems.
  • Performs quality and safety inspections of on site equipment and tools used in aircraft maintenance.
  • Performs in progress and final quality technical inspections during maintenance, repair, modification, rework, and overhaul.
  • Inspects job procedural forms and maintenance forms for compliance with approved methods and procedures.
  • Assists in preparation, processing, and answering of Quality Deficiency Reports (QDRs).
  • Establishes maintenance quality control processes, procedures, standards, measures, and reports.
  • Directs inquiries, investigations, and research analysis related to quality control to the QC Manager.
  • Ensures all quality control maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner.
  • Conducts maintenance training and technical inspector training as required.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • FAA Inspector Authorization (IA) certificate.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
  • Five (5) years’ experience maintaining specific or similar Mission Design Series (MDS).
  • Able to use Automated Weight and Balance Software (AWBS).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of rotary wing Aviation operations.
  • Proficient in computer hosted interactive technical manuals and aircraft maintenance forms.
  • Graduate of US Military Aircraft Maintenance Course or civilian A&P equivalent.
  • Possess a valid U.S driver’s license and Passport.
  • Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements.
