Responsibilities
- Undertake detailed maintenance and inspection activities on Typhoon Avionic systems
- Assist in resolving faults and maintenance issues
- Perform component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements, and functional/system tests
- Progress reporting against delivery targets to supervisor
- Undertake support tasks within the Base Maintenance Facility
- Ensure all maintenance activities are documented and airworthiness records maintained
Requirements
- Experience in maintenance on Typhoon aircraft
- Understanding of approved data set and maintenance instructions
- Trade knowledge of Typhoon aircraft and assemblies
- Ability to follow diagnostic procedures
- Personal task authorisation for working on components

Role Overview
- The post holder will report to the Avionics Junior Supervisor and be an experienced and skilled avionic technician, undertaking a range of detailed base maintenance activities on Typhoon aircraft.
Core Activities
- Undertaking detailed maintenance, inspection activities on the Typhoon Avionic systems.
- Assuring your work undertaken is completed in accordance with the work package, using the relevant approved technical information.
- Assisting in resolving faults and maintenance issues, including an awareness of configuration management.
- Undertaking and complete tasked maintenance activities on Typhoon Avionic systems, which may include component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements and/or functional/system test.
- Demonstrate a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities appropriate to the role.
- Maintaining a personal task authorisation for working on components in accordance with QAF requirements.
- Progress reporting against delivery targets to supervisor.
- Undertaking support tasks within the Base Maintenance Facility.
- Undertaking fault evaluation and raise ad hoc work cards for found faults during maintenance.
- Ensuring all Maintenance activities are appropriately documented and airworthiness records are maintained.
- Compile required reporting, identify any issues and escalate as appropriate.
- Maintaining a personal Log Book to demonstrate currency and recency.
Key Accountabilities
- Leading by example to provide effective maintenance activities by meeting delivery targets.
- Comply with the regulatory framework, its associated procedures and standards.
- Ensure human factors and error management philosophies are applied to all maintenance activities.
- Ensure maintenance activities are compliant with the continuing airworthiness assurance management system.
- Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of understanding of the relevant continuing airworthiness regulatory framework.
- Comply with all other requirements, e.g. ITAR, EaPW, ISO.
