Performs complex (journey-level) managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of the Texas Water Development Board's Application Development department.
Work involves establishing goals and objectives related to application development for the Texas Geographic Information Office (TxGIO).
Develops guidelines, procedures, policies, rules and regulations for the Applications Development staff.
Develops schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving established goals.
Coordinates and evaluates business function and budget management.
Leads a team of developers and web administrators in overseeing programming projects.
Projects are typically oriented around public-facing web sites, services, and mapping applications or internal-facing tools for collaborating.
Responsible for the team overseeing the TxGIO AWS environment while designing, planning, and implementing cloud and application management procedures.
Supervises the work of others.
Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Reports to the Director of the Geographic Infrastructure and Technology Division.
