Responsibilities
- Onsite Dry Gas Seal removal, strip, inspection, rebuild and installation into Turbo compressors
- Identify and assist customers with upgrades of all Turbomachinery products
- Understand and report upon commercial opportunities at each customer site
- Provide training to customers on gas seal and system related subjects
- Troubleshooting on all Turbomachinery products
- Execution / Supervision of mechanical works at customer sites on turbomachinery equipment
- Create comprehensive customer reports outlining all site activities
- Perform mechanical duties involved with disassembly, inspection, maintenance repair, modification and reassembly for turbo compressors
- Carry out assembly preparation for upcoming service assignments
- Determine assembly procedures on site in accordance with specified work documents
- Coach service technicians with lower qualification
- Able to work on and offshore
Requirements
- Extensive, proven, and traceable gas seal field service installation experience
- Operational gas seal inspection and build hands on experience
- Capable of reading general assembly drawings
- Full driving license and capable of driving overseas
- 5+ years of related experience in the field of centrifugal compressors
- Experience with endoscopic inspections and techniques
- Practical experience with laser alignment

Role Overview
- Field Service Engineer responsible for providing service and site assistance on John Crane Turbomachinery products
- Support compressor manufacturers and end user customers
- Part of the Global Turbomachinery team
- Support company drive to expand portfolio of Services & Products in the Turbomachinery market
Key Responsibilities
- Onsite Dry Gas Seal removal, strip, inspection, rebuild and installation into Turbo compressors
- Identify and assist customers with upgrades of all Turbomachinery products

- Provide training to customers on gas seal and system related subjects
- Troubleshooting on all Turbomachinery products
- Extensive travel, sometimes to remote areas both onshore and offshore
- Execution / Supervision of mechanical works at customer sites, mainly on turbomachinery equipment
- Create comprehensive customer report outlining all site activities
- Perform mechanical duties involved with disassembly, inspection, maintenance repair, modification and reassembly for turbo compressors
- Carry out assembly preparation for upcoming service assignments
- Determine assembly procedures on site in accordance with specified work documents

Qualifications
- Extensive, proven, and traceable gas seal field service installation experience
- Operational gas seal inspection and build hands on experience
- Capable of reading general assembly drawings

- Confident and able to deal with very challenging situations
- Experience with endoscopic inspections and techniques
- Practical experience with laser alignment is a plus
- Carry out alignment by using dial gauge indicators
- 5+ years of related experience in the field of centrifugal compressors
