Who are we looking for?

Our Tunnel Group and Rail and Transit Group are growing, and looking for an Intermediate Tunnel Engineer to join us in Mississauga or Markham, ON .

You will play a key role in a wide variety of tunnel engineering projects.

The Tunnel Group is an energetic dynamic team that is working on tunnelling projects for large diameter subway transit lines in GTA, municipal projects in Ontario, pursuits in Vancouver and subway lines in Australia.

This role can be based in any of our GTA offices - Toronto, Mississauga, Markham or Whitby.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• assist with project work within GHD’s Rail and Transportation business and support other tunnelling projects across Canada or internationally, as opportunities present.
• assisting in responding to technical and administrative tasks associated with the development of tunnels and stations.
• carry out analysis as directed by senior members of the team for tunnel liners and shaft design using PLAXIS, FLAC, Rocscience, etc.
• Prepare tunnel reports input to the tunnel component of proposals
• Attend client meetings along with supervisor
• Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
• Geoscientific Studies and Interpretations: Contribute to well proposals by providing complex analysis and interpretation of geological/geophysical field data. Involves using advanced modeling techniques.
