- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy trucks and diesel tankers, including major service tasks
- Use truck diagnostic tools and software (e.g., OBD scanners, Jaltest) to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electronic issues
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance, including engine tune ups, oil changes, and brake adjustments
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical problems, such as engine overhauls, transmission issues, and suspension systems
- Replace or repair faulty components, including fuel systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards during all repair and maintenance activities
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and diagnostic results
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely servicing of the fleet and reduce downtime
Requirements
- Proven experience as a mechanic for heavy duty trucks and diesel tankers, with expertise in major servicing tasks
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and truck components
- Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Familiarity with brands like Scania, Volvo, and MAN is a plus
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements for diesel tankers
