Treasury Financial Controller

Own financial control over treasury activities.

Ensure accurate accounting, valuation, reporting, and compliance for all treasury products, funding activities, and liquidity management in line with IFRS, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.

Oversee accounting for treasury instruments: loans, deposits, sukuk, bonds, derivatives, interbank placements.

Ensure correct classification and measurement under IFRS 9 (AC, FVOCI, FVTPL).

Review SPPI assessments and business model documentation for new products.

Validate hedge accounting treatment where applicable.

Ensure accurate amortization, EIR calculations, and accrual postings.

Validate daily/periodic treasury valuations (MTM, yield curves, discounting models).

Ensure completeness and accuracy of treasury P&L, including realized/unrealized gains.

Investigate P&L movements and explain variances.

Oversee reporting of liquidity ratios (LCR, NSFR).

Ensure alignment of treasury balances with regulatory reporting to Saudi Central Bank.

Validate funding cost allocation and transfer pricing (FTP).

Monitor liquidity gaps and funding structures from a financial reporting perspective.

Establish and maintain strong controls over treasury processes (front-to-back reconciliation).

Collaborate with TROPs in reviewing deal capture, confirmations, settlements, and reconciliations.

Own control framework over treasury systems and data integrity.

Ensure treasury-related disclosures comply with IFRS 7 and IAS 32.

Prepare notes on financial instruments, risk exposures, fair value, and sensitivities.

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.

Act as primary contact for treasury-related regulatory reporting and inspections.

Support internal and external audits with required documentation and explanations.

Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory expectations.

Provide financial insights to Treasury on funding strategies, pricing, and profitability.

Challenge assumptions on new treasury products from an accounting and control perspective.

Support strategic initiatives related to liquidity optimization and balance sheet management.

Accurate treasury financial statements and disclosures

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field master degree is a plus

Professional certification: CPA / ACCA / CA preferred

Strong knowledge of IFRS (especially IFRS 9, IFRS 7, IAS 32)

3–8 years in banking finance or treasury finance

Strong exposure to treasury products, derivatives, and liquidity management

Experience in financial control or product control within a bank
