We are seeking an experienced, highly organised, and detail-oriented
Travelling Housekeeper And Ladies’ Maid
to provide exceptional housekeeping, wardrobe management, and personal support to a private family across multiple residences and during international travel.
This is a hands-on role requiring the highest standards of housekeeping, garment care, organisation, and discretion.
The successful candidate will work closely with the housekeeping team while taking full responsibility for wardrobe presentation, travel preparation, packing, unpacking, and maintaining immaculate personal spaces for the principals.
The role involves
frequent international travel with the family, particularly to the United Kingdom and across Europe

Candidates
must hold a valid passport that facilitates visa-free or straightforward travel to the UK and EU countries
, and must be comfortable with regular international travel, extended stays abroad, and a highly flexible schedule.
Housekeeping & Household Standards
- Work closely with the housekeeping team to deliver meticulous, detail-focused cleaning across all interior and exterior areas of the residence.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the home, working discreetly around the family’s movements to maximise opportunities for service.
- Take full responsibility for the cleanliness, organisation, and daily upkeep of the master bedroom, dressing rooms, and bathrooms.
- Maintain inventories of household consumables and ensure appropriate stock levels are consistently available.
- Assist in creating and implementing effective organisational systems for family belongings and personal spaces.
Wardrobe Management & Ladies’ Maid Duties
- Oversee and maintain the family’s wardrobes to the highest standards, ensuring clothing, shoes, bags, jewellery, and accessories are immaculately presented, organised, and protected.
- Ensure garments are properly stored, coordinated where appropriate, and returned to the correct locations.
- Conduct wardrobe maintenance, including garment care, ironing, laundry coordination, dry-cleaning management, and quality control.
- Ensure pockets are emptied, items are paired appropriately, and clothing remains in pristine condition at all times.
- Coordinate beauty product organisation, deliveries, replenishment, and returns in collaboration with the PA or personal shopper where required.
Travel Support & International Mobility
- Prepare, coordinate, and personally execute all packing and unpacking for family travel, ensuring all belongings are inventoried and transported efficiently.
- Travel with the family to residences, hotels, villas, holiday homes, and other destinations to set up and maintain personal spaces to the highest standards.
- Prepare and organise dressing areas, wardrobes, and suites during travel to ensure seamless daily living for the principals.
- Manage wardrobes while travelling, including laundry, pressing, dry cleaning, and coordination with hotel or villa staff where necessary.
- Maintain detailed packing lists and travel inventories and ensure smooth logistical coordination before, during, and after travel.
- Arrange or coordinate purchasing and replenishment of household and personal products whilst travelling as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a
- Travelling Housekeeper, Ladies’ Maid, Private Housekeeper, or in a similar role within UHNW/VIP private households
- .
- Exceptional attention to detail and high housekeeping standards.
- Strong wardrobe management, garment care, and packing/unpacking expertise.
- Experience working in luxury residences, private households, hotels, yachts, or similar high-standard environments is advantageous.
- Highly organised, discreet, proactive, and service-oriented with the ability to anticipate needs.
- Flexible and adaptable, with willingness to work weekends, early mornings, evenings, and changing schedules depending on family requirements.
- Comfortable travelling extensively and working internationally.
- **Must hold a valid passport that facilitates travel to the UK and European countries and be able to travel internationally at short notice where required.**
