This is an exciting time to join the Maintenance & Delivery Section, which is leading the transformation of Toronto’s maintenance and delivery operations.
The PDM Construction Team Unit is seeking experienced Transportation Engineers for the engineering analysis, detailed design support and review, project and procurement implementation, construction delivery, and overall project management for the delivery of complex multi-modal quick build, bikeways, sidewalks, trails, complete streets ROW projects, and civil reconstruction capital projects across Toronto.
The Unit’s major initiatives include the contract development, engineering design support, construction delivery, contract administration, field inspection, and overall delivery of multi-modal improvements, road, sidewalk, on and off-street bikeway repairs, Complete Streets, trails, capital road improvements, Vision Zero safety improvements, Neighbourhood Projects, Cycling and Pedestrian network improvements, key cycling connections and complex pavement marking projects. We are at the forefront of delivering operating and capital programs with a strong focus on cost efficiency, sustainability, equity, and multi-modal transportation solutions.
You will manage projects, review and collaborate on the engineering design, guide the creation of contracts and their procurement, for the successful delivery of various multi-modal and maintenance improvements with support from Senior Project Managers, Transportation Engineers, and other team members within Transportation Services. You will help shape the future of Toronto's streets with a focus on active transportation, safety and comfort to create a more livable, equitable and resilient City and keep Torontonians moving safely.
