As a Transportation Engineering Intern, you will support transportation engineering projects through a combination of office and field assignments. Responsibilities may include:
Work alongside experienced engineers on challenging transportation projects
Use computer assisted programs like Autodesk Civil 3D to prepare engineering and design documents, computations, and quantity estimates
Analyze and prepare reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits and other design documents for projects
Assist with CAD-based design work and support the design and plan production of transportation-related projects
Support roadway, site, and transportation design efforts through calculations, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates
Participate in construction inspection, documentation, and field observation activities
Assist with surveying and data collection efforts
Performing additional duties and special projects as assigned
