Role Overview
The Transportation Assistant supports the efficient coordination of daily transportation and logistics activities.
The role covers transport scheduling, shipment coordination, delivery tracking, and accurate transportation records.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and check transport documentation.
- Monitor vehicle and shipment status.
- Update tracking systems and transportation records.
- Communicate with drivers, carriers, suppliers, warehouses, and internal teams.
- Support resolution of delivery delays and transportation issues.
- Assist with route and delivery planning, freight documentation, transport reports, and service monitoring.
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Basic understanding of transportation operations, logistics, freight, delivery coordination, and supply chain processes.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
- Familiarity with transport management systems, GPS or tracking platforms, ERP systems, or logistics software is preferred.
