Road & Rail Services is hiring dependable, safety-focused Transload Operators to join our terminal operations team.
This could be a great opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing, chemical plants, refineries, railroad operations, construction, industrial maintenance, warehousing, transportation, material handling, or other outdoor industrial environments .
Previous transloading experience is helpful, but we are also interested in mechanically inclined candidates who are comfortable learning new equipment and following detailed safety procedures.
As a Transload Operator, your responsibilities may include:
Safely transfer hazardous and non-hazardous materials between railcars and tanker trucks
Connect and disconnect hoses, fittings, valves, pumps, and transfer lines
Inspect railcars, trucks, hoses, seals, valves, and transfer equipment before use
Monitor product transfers to maintain proper flow and identify potential problems
Climb railcars and tanker trailers to inspect, connect, and secure equipment
Prepare products for transfer through heating, sparging, sampling, and other required processes
Collect product samples and assist with quality checks when required
Operate pumps, heaters, golf carts, small tractors, and other terminal equipment
Perform routine equipment inspections and identify maintenance concerns
