- Implement, run, govern and control transition programs from inception through to completion
- Manage risk and minimize potential failure by planning and ensuring execution of all testing, training and change management activities
- Undertake due diligence investigations to determine exact client requirements
- Work according to standard project management methodologies to plan and manage execution of service and outsource transition projects
- Establish positive relationships with client stakeholders and engage with them regularly
- Plan and coordinate engagement sessions with the client
- Ensure all parties remain informed by preparing and distributing required communication and reports
- Identify resource requirements for the transition project and negotiate use of resources
- Perform as a people manager to the cross functional transition team, developing team members
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on operational excellence
Requirements
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and standards (both Waterfall and Agile)
- Business and commercial acumen coupled with strategic thinking ability
- Ability to develop and enhance client and stakeholder relationships
- Understanding of IT industry and expertise on transition management approaches and methodologies
- Ability to construct plans and schedules with pricing information within a framework
- Ability to interpret, deconstruct and contribute to contract collateral
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field
- Solid experience in Service Transitioning and Project management preferably gained within a global IT services organization
- Solid experience in engagement across contractual review and service definition
- Demonstrated track record in managing complex client transition projects
- Demonstrable experience in communication and negotiation at a management level

Your day at NTT DATA
- The Transition Manager is responsible for supporting the management and coordination of the activities of the team in the completion of a transition project.
- This role ensures that transition projects adhere to all required governance processes, utilizes the correct tools and that client requirements are met.
- The Transition Manager supports with fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on operational excellence.
Key responsibilities

Academic qualifications and certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Information Technology or a related field.
- Relevant ITIL certification preferred.
- PMBOK and/or Prince II Certification(s) desirable.
Required experience
- Solid experience in Service Transitioning and Project management preferably gained within a global IT services organization.
- Solid experience in engagement across contractual review and service definition.
- Demonstrated track record in managing complex client transition projects, preferably within a large enterprise environment.
- Demonstrable experience in communication and negotiation at a management level.
- Demonstrable expertise in transition management approach and methodology.
- Moderate level of experience in leading and managing a team
