Training & Development Specialist

• Strong Knowledge in creating training and development programs in a variety of modalities- virtual, in-person, self-directed etc.- for a best-in-class learning experience that offers a blended learning approach
• Ability to create an effective and inclusive training and development environment for all learners
• Influence and Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to change and support others through training and development initiatives.
• Data and Reporting: Strong analytical ability and attention to detail, using organized thinking and clear communication skills.
• Decision Making: Able to make day-to-day decisions independently while understanding when to escalate or seek guidance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and self-starter attitude, with the ability to be tactful, clear and empathetic communicator.
• Excellent facilitation skills, and attention to detail skills (to be able to proofread training materials).
• Able to quickly learn customer specific technical applications to train end users
• Candidate has a critical thinking approach to problem solve and is a forward thinker
• Able to encourage, motivate and engage learners and stakeholders.
• Accountable for their own commitments and deliverables, while supporting team priorities.
• Able to manage relationships in a collaborative manner, with a wide range of stakeholder groups and personality types, applying diplomacy to reach win-win resolutions
• Education and experience
• Candidate should possess a university designation or a combination of experience and education
• Candidate should have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in training, learning and development, program coordination, facilitation or a related field.
• Ideal candidate possesses the ability to read, speak and write in both English and French.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems.
• Project coordination experience with a focus on training curriculum development is preferred.
• Understanding of, or experience in, collision operations or equivalent experience.
