Requirements
- Strong knowledge of asynchronous and self-directed learning design and authoring with the ability to apply it across varied subject matter. Ability to create an effective and inclusive training and development environment for all learners
- Influence and Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to change and support others through training and development initiatives.
- Data and Reporting: Strong analytical ability and attention to detail, using organized thinking and clear communication skills.
- Decision Making: Able to make day-to-day decisions independently while understanding when to escalate or seek guidance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and self-starter attitude, with the ability to be tactful, clear and empathetic communicator.
- Able to quickly learn customer specific technical applications to train end users
- Candidate has a critical thinking approach to problem solve and is a forward thinker
- Able to encourage, motivate and engage learners and stakeholders.
- Accountable for their own commitments and deliverables, while supporting team priorities.
- Adaptable in their approach when working with a range of stakeholders and subject matter experts, and comfortable changing direction as input and priorities evolve.
- Stays current with developments in learning technology, authoring tools and AI, and is open to adopting new methods and tools as they emerge.
Benefits
- A university designation or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with 3–5 years in instructional design, eLearning development or learning technology.
- Hands-on authoring experience: Articulate Rise and/or Storyline. Video tools such as Synthesia, Camtasia, Vyond, or equivalent.
- LMS administration experience (Absorb, Docebo, Cornerstone, or similar - configuring courses, enrolments, automation, and reporting)
- Experience developing or administering regulated/compliance training is considered an asset.
- Bilingual in English and French considered an asset
