Aurizon is seeking expressions of interest from safety focused individuals who would like undertake training to become a locomotive driver.
To excel in this position you will relish to opportunity to learn new skills and put into practice what you are taught in the classroom to become a professional train operator.
• Ability to travel for training to an alternative site if required.
• 24x7 rotating shift roster 365 days a year including nights, weekends and public holidays,
• Apply theoretical knowledge from training to practical operation,
• Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures,
• Undertake Locomotive driver training and successfully complete modules within six months.
About you:
• All-encompassing focus on safety along with great interpersonal skills,
• Superior team work skills,
• Must be available to work 24/7 shift roster which includes nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Current unrestricted Class C drivers licence,
• Be available to commence in the next couple of months and not have any prior commitments for the first 6-9 months of the training program.
