As the Senior Decision Scientist, you will bridge the gap between business intelligence, advanced analytics and decision science. Drive data-led decision making across Aurizon by transforming complex data into meaningful insights, predictive models and strategic recommendations that influence business outcomes. This role sits within our Data and Insights team and partners with stakeholders across the organisation to solve complex business challenges through advanced analytics and data storytelling.

Supporting capability uplift across the business through coaching, training and knowledge sharing.
You are a commercially minded data professional who enjoys solving complex problems and influencing decision-makers through data-driven insights.
Approximately 5+ years' experience in decision science, data science, advanced analytics or data engineering.
Strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard development and data modelling.
Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python.
Experience working across descriptive, predictive and analytical solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Knowledge of data governance, metadata management and security principles.
A relevant degree in a quantitative discipline will be highly regarded.
